Produce SpotlightSalad Greens!
Salad greens are coming in strong this month so stop by the marketplace for a nutritious, delicious alternative to grocery store greens. Romaine, bibb and leaf lettuce are all available as cut-and-come-again bags (this means the leaves were harvested from the plantand the plant has been left in the ground so it continues to produce.)
Four Hands Farm is also pleased to announce it’s new mini-green salad mix. This mix is a combination of baby lettuce and baby cooking greens and has a bit of a kick to it. It’s so delicious you don’t even need dressing with the salad! For a beautiful holiday presentation form the greens into the shape of a birds nest, put 3 dollops of soft goat cheese in the center (for eggs) and top with lemon-basil vinaigrette! (you can find most of these ingredients and recipes at the market!) The mini-green salad mix can also be flash-sautéed and used as a side vegetable.
